….and so, suzie’s site was born…

Wow, this is great ! I did it!

Let me fill you in.  Ok, I’ve been wanting to create my own website for the longest time. But for somebody who has zero knowledge in IT , its going to be really challenging. This was truly a test for me. But I know I wanted it soo much.

How it got started?

Well, the past 6 mths or so I’ve spent quite abit sitting down in front of my pc. After checking my emails, I will surf, google, read blogs , check out the auction site, & then it striked me.  Hey, this people actually leveraging on this technology called the INTERNET to make money. I didn’t know that people get paid just by blogging ( by doing paid posts!). Then there are some who can earn tru this what you call google adsense? (whatever that means), or participate in some kind of affiliation program where you can earn commission (I think?!). I realized that maybe this is what I should do. I’m a sahm.  With no monthly income, I cannot imagine what will happen if my savings account dipped to my very last dollar. Maybe, just maybe, if I have something I could offer or contribute, this could be the start to my financial freedom! I’ve always been passionate about cooking! Hmmmm….

So I read, & surf & do more google, but this time focusing & getting inspired by  these ‘interneters’. While doing all this, I came across IMS. This is where I got the most inspirations from. Another reason also is bcoz its home based. There’s so much I’ve learned from these guys (& still learning!)

So, that’s how I got so fired up to do something about it.  I bought my own domain (nothing like owning your own..heh…), got myself  a host, but guess what, I brokedown real soon after that coz I didn’t know what to do next. I mean , there’s so many technical terms which I didn’t understand that everything came to a halt. I brought it on myself I guess. I mean, who am I kidding? What do i know about building a website or blogsite or whatever you call it ? zero! zilch! zip!

Praise God for this guys who guided me tru. They provided me with some links so as to get myself familiar on the things I should look into. Gave me options to choose from. Gosh! Still, it wasn’t easy. Reading up is one thing. Applying it is another. I nearly went bonkers! I was having this system shutdown, due to overwhelming of information.  It’s so hard to digest everything all at one go & then trying to do everything all at the same time. It’s crazy!
