Move your butt & start work out !

Dh & myself have started a new regime this week. Exercise!! Argh! Its a drag. I have to sacrifice 1 hr of my sleep every morning to join him. Oh well, as a wife i have to give him moral support, esp in times like this. This is something he has to do as part of his daily regiment now that he’s a diabetic.

So we’ll wake up at 6.30 am & start walking to the sports complex nearby & start running (brisk walking for me la -) ) round the tracks. I guess its good for me as well since i need to lose some weight too -D .

Few days ago, terence, dh’s cousin shared something with me. He’s on this weight management program with a local hospital here. He was introduced this device (it might not be new to you) called pedometer that calculates your daily steps taken, calories burnt, as well as calculates distance travelled. The doc also adviced him that he should always have this device as his exercise partner. If he’s consistent with his exercise regularly &  reach a minimum of 10,000 steps each day, he guaranteed that he’ll definitely reach his goal. 

I remembered i had that as a christmas present 2 or 3 years ago. But i put it aside thinking that only sportsmen or runners uses this. So i rammage tru my closet to look for it again. Found & tried it but boy i tell you this, there is another challenge. Its not easy to reach 10,000 steps. Unless you are super walker, you’ll have to do workout which involves alot of movements, otherwise the reading will never escalate thus the steps count.

I cant believe that with just my regular routine (more like sitting whilst expanding my bum in front of my pc for hrs) & my normal walking pace, i dun even reach 1000 steps! So regardless man, wether you like it or not, you need to exercise. This pedometer  will come in handy as can we can use it as a guideline. By end of the day if it reads say 9000, you’ll just have to move your butt & start walking aound the house till you reach that mark. Just dun let your neighbour sees this. They might b thinking theres a crazy manic on the loose -P

Simple? Quickly, go & get your exercise partner now & try it yourself -D
