To Save with Love…

Todays gospel, spoke of evangelisations. “Go into the whole world & proclaim the Gospel” (Mark 16:15)”. Yes, we are to reach out to the world. We are to bring good news of salvation in the Lord to others, with the intention of bringing  them to new life. To be witnesses of God’s love for us.

And so, along the line from my last post, i ponder on it alittle bit more. Where or how do i start bringing people to this community i’m invoved in? We do not just need friends. But Godly friends - brothers & sisters in Christ. Hence, we should include the community in our circle of friends & our loved ones - to be part of Gods people. As Godly friends we support each other spiritually in continuing to grow as true Christians. We need to learn from each other, sharing our lives touching on our spiritual journey. We seek each others advice & comfort each other in times of difficulties. Thus, we encourage each other to perservere & to pray for each other.

So yes, i did (& still trying to) bring the people i know, my loved ones, friends & families to the community. But I found it abit tough. Quite a challenging mission if you ask me.  I feel that at time due to the close knitted relationships, it becomes easier for you to be turned down? I wonder why. But i try not to worry too much on that. Always tell ourselves - its not us. They did not reject it because of us. Its just not the time yet.  Maybe the Lord hasnt work on them yet. Maybe the Lord is still knocking & waiting for them to open their door hearts…

Something to share..“remember this: whoever turns a sinner back from his wrong way will save that sinners soul from death and bring about forgiveness of many sins” (James 5:20). So if we love that someone, we dont just give up. We’ll just have to continue to lift them up in our prayers. God will do the rest…in His Time…

    Hi Suzie,
interesting to note that many people knows the mission that Jesus has asked them to undertake, evangelisation, and yet how so few truly responded. Most difficult can be our immediate family members, strange enough! I recently discovered that many people has a hunger for God (regardless of their religous background). So they are willing to talk about God only when we start to talk about Him. Perhaps, we can try to be more open with our faith, even if it means to share our lack of faith, with friends around us.
    God Bless!

simon - i guess other than being open with our faith we need to be the living proof, to be witnesses, to experience renewal, hence to put our lives & family in order 1st b4 we could reach out to others.
