2nd Affirmation - Hope

Todays responsorial psalm, ” Let your hearts take comfort, all who hope in the Lord.” also reaffirms our community theme for the year 2007 & the topic we’ve shared during our prayer meetings last week -Lamentations 3:24, “My portion is the Lord, says my soul; therefore will i hope in him.

HOPE, yes the Lord wants us to be wise and continue to place our greatest hope in HIM for HE is our Creator. Its only right that we put our trust in the Lord, hope in HIM above all things, rest assured we will not be dissapointed. HE will not fail us in what HE thinks is best for us.

We do not consider our earthly needs as remedies to everything we could hope for. If we put too much hope in them & expect more from what they can actually give us, eventually we’ll be dissapointed. We strive  so much on earthly life, in things which we desired so eagerly that we find dissapointments & dissatisfactions along the way . We fail to see that nothing will give us satisfaction unless God gives the power to do so, hence we will never stop seeking, desiring & hope.

So let’s place all of our hopes in HIM, relying on HIS goodness, wisdom & love. Let us be submissive. Submit ourselves to HIM & follow HIS Will. HE will not fail us if we stand by HIM. Let our hearts take comfort, those who hope in the Lord!

Another piece of song i want to share. Hope you can feel the serenity & calm each time you listen to it, just like i did. Enjoy….(*)
