Letter to my CFC Brethren

                                                                  stb_4104.JPG

dear brethrens,

after attended the “Hope Weekend’ seminar last saturday, as i reflected back, it just don on me that my life would be as hollow as an empty shell if its not for the CFC community. i’ve learnt to put God in the centre of my life, my family & my marriage. Praise God!

so, i’m truly blessed & sincerely from the bottom of my heart, i just want to praise & thank God for the gift of this community. sometimes i just wonder why i was not introduced to this wonderful family earlier especially those time when i was lost & lonely, during my times of trials & tribulations, struggling to find peace, happiness & lots of love. my life would have been less troubled whilst learning to take things easy if i would have drawn closer to Him then & that to be able to lift everything up to His Will.

you’ve been my source of inspirations, source of strength & encouragement. you’ve reminded me of His never ending LOVE for us & His merciful ways. i see God’s love in each & everyone of you. when we fall you are there to pick us up to rise unafraid (talk 4). when we are down, you are there to support us. when we are in need of prayers, you’re so readily be there for us, sending us comforting words along with your prayers. when we are falling short (talk 2) you are there to remind us & put us back on track so that we could be restored in hope (talk 5). we learn from each other from our personal sharings. we know each others’ weaknesses. somehow what tito lachie & tito marnie said in their talks are really true. we are even closer then with our very own flesh & blood. indeed we are in CFC becoz of God’s invitations. & so we are to claim to nobility (talk 1) simply tru living out our cfc covenants faithfully.

to the CFC leaders especially, you have done so much. you evangelise tiredlessly bringing us back leading to the Kingdom of God. you dont mind being rejected. tiredness has never been in your vocab. instead, it has been serve, serve & serve. & you do it so  passionately with so much love & joy even tho you may be tight up with your own personal & family committments. you’ve done so much building this community as what it is today & is still growing.

thank you, all dear brethren. becoz of this spirit of awakening & repentance (talk 3), it has made me want to give back to you in return by sharing my renewal & mindful experiences as i journey together in faith with this community in here, tru my blog….one of the many reasons why i wanted to create this site….to share my spiritual thots….hopefully this time round i could be the one who will be the source of inspirations to some. therefore i’d like to dedicate this segment of my site, the archive under ’spiritual thots’, to all my brothers & sisters in CFC & those who would like to join in & journey with me….this way it’ll help me ( help us!) to continue to be faithful & to remain focus in HIM.  God Bless Us All!

your sister in-christ

God sent his message by sending His angel to me. After “Hope Weekend” our (me & ernie) busy schedules consist not only our office work, family, CFC HH, YFC schedules but also going to a doctor and waiting for the result of blood test done to ernie. The blood test result indicates that he is having a liver illness. The extent of it we don’t know yet, for he needs to undergo for another blood test and ultra sound. Despite of my tiredness (physical & emotional) I oblige myself to search to the web about this liver illness. While searching and browsing, since more than a week now that I didn’t have a chance to open my email I also take the opportunity to check it.

While reading Sis Suzie’s reflection I felt God’s presence and assurance. Presence because after keeping all the heavy loads inside me I pour out everything to Him…. my fear, my children, my husband, my service, my work….. everything…. And He gives me assurance…. Assurance that He will not forsake us. That He is a Great Healer & a Great Provider. I felt that He lifted up the “mountain” of fears & anxiety inside me.

Tomorrow is another challenging day; Ernie will be having liver ultra sound. I ask for your continuous prayer for him. As for me, please also pray for me that I may be able to fully overcome my negative thoughts & feeling and to fully trust God with all my heart.

Thank you Sis Suzie for being God’s messenger ! Truly, your sharing is an inspiration. God bless us all!!!

  9. suzie Says:

dear sis dallie, your heartfelt experience & most powerful sharing has truly opened my eyes. its so inspiring that even despite what you & your family r going thru, yet you still remain faithful in serving our Lord. in fact, as i think back, when i saw you helping out & serving in the kfc few weekends ago, i saw joy in your eyes. never in a million years have i ever thot that you & bro are in such a situation.
sis dallie & bro ernie, the Lord indeed is most compassionate & merciful. he’ll never abandon those who are faithful to HIM. we’ll never be alone & that HE will always be with us even in the depths of despair. especially in this community,as we live out our cfc covenants, we’ll help to remind each other that no matter what we may endure now, an unending joy awaits us in the future if we just cling tightly to HIM in the unity of the Spirit. trust me i’ve been there, esp. when i nearly lost andrew due to his pancreatitis. you & family will be in our prayers. may the Lord also give you the strength to hold your faith in HIM so that you can be the source & pillar of strength & encouragement to bro. you & family will be in our prayers. God Bless!

    dear suzie,

indeed CFC has changed and is changing, for the better, a lot of lives. how you wished that it was introduced to you earlier - then you introduce CFC not only to your loved ones but to your “enemies” as well. they’ll thank you for that.
keep witnessing about how the Lord has given you a better outlook ( IN A CHRISTIAN WAY) in life. that’s a better way to evangelize.
i’m glad to have you as my sister in Christ.let’s continue to keep in touch.

  11. Ramona & theodore Olsen Says:

    Dear Suzie,

I am glad that you benefitted thoroughly from the Hope Weekend. Theo and I were also touched by Bros. Lachie & Marnie. They are truly great examples to us to persevere and hope in the Lord. Theo and I still have our life struggles and issues but with God in the midst of us and this loving community of Couples for Christ, amazingly we find peace. Many of us in CFC who are open to what God wants to reveal to us wll benefit in one way or another.

I hope with all my heart that you, Andrew and your little ones will rise unafraid. We know we will.

    May God be praised always!
