randy got hurt today. while waiting for his school bus, he was playing & somehow he fell & hurt himself. it happened like 3 mins b4 the bus came. so i din really get to check on him other than what i found, a cut on his lower lip & lots of scratches on his knees & thighs.

i dont understand my reaction just then. instead of tending to his cuts & bruised (he was wailing), i smacked him a few times on his bum. i scolded him for not behaving himself to just sit & wait quietly for the bus. i told him…’if you hurt yourself due to your own fault, dont come running to me & cry, & let this be a lesson to you! …’ i was  so fumed with anger that i din kiss him goodbye & just sent him up the bus with my black face.

now, i’m so worried wondering if he’s doing alright. called the school several times to ask the teacher to watch him closely should there be any aftermath symptoms after a fall but nobody seems to be picking up the phone. dang! the worst thing is, he’s having a school field trip to the philatelic museum today. dont know how he’s coping with all those bruised on him. i just have to lift up & surrender him totally to the Lord. may HE covers him with HIS most holy & precious blood protecting him from any further harm.

*SIGH* am i a bad mother? i love my children but sometimes i feel that they need to be thot a lesson. if they hurt themselves due to their own negligence or for not listening to me after numerous warning shouldnt i be mad? or should i be running to them & console & tending to them straight away.

what would you do?
