The Power of the Holy Spirit
“the wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes so it is with everyone who is born of the Holy Spirit….” John 3:8
the above is taken from today’s gospel. when i actually meditate on that verse, it gives me the chill. feels spooky. but i meant it in a good way. Have you ever felt if the Holy Spirit is working on you? have you ever felt that tingling sensation in your spine when you are alone with Him. suddenly you feel that gush of light wind just brushed across your face & suddenly you feel peace within you. suddenly you feel lighten from the burden you’ve been carrying. suddenly you feel weak & emotional that tears just rolled down with no apparent reason. i’m so blessed that i encountered this myself.
we all know that when we accept Christ, we’re baptized in the Holy Spirit. it has always been in us. it is a gift. but unless we believe in it & are open to it, it will be hard for us to experience it. in our daily life, we must remember that whatever we do, we cannot rely on our own strength. there is this power, we ought to learn to tap onto. we have to allow this power to work in & thru us. & that power is non other than the Power of the Holy Spirit.
