To Love is to Give
in today’s 1st reading, it spoke about sacrificing, about giving, about being charitable. afterall, the Lord has always been generous to us. our every breath, our heartbeats, thots, words, actions, & everything else that we have, we received them thru Him. even how unworthy we are, His generousity never ceased to assist us. He never turned His goodness away from us. His love cares for all our needs.
to show our gratitude, in return, we are to do the same to others. we are not only to be kind & generous to those in need. we ought to be humble towards others. be patient to those who’s contantly testing us or does not live up to our expectations. use our intelligence in an unselfish manner when dealing with people, hopefully treating with some of the generousity, love & considerations which He has shown us. ultimately, this virtues will pleased Him more & that’s our proof to show our gratitude to Him. the more we give, the more He blesses us abundantly.
“For the Lord is one who always repays, and He will give back to you sevenfolds” (Sir 1:10)
