Burn Notice
when spies get fired, they don’t get a letter from human resources. they got BURNED!
while on assignment, agent michael westen, an international spy, played by jeffrey donovan, gets a ’burn notice’. not knowing what happened or what could have triggered his dismissal, he went back to his hometown in miami with no money & no resources. he struggles to put his life back together & with the help from his mother (??!), his ex girlfriend who’s also an ex ira-operative & a washed out military intelligence, he’s determined to find out what led to his sudden termination. in the meantime he uses he’s unique skill & training to help people in need especially those who can’t get any help from the police.
hmm.. maybe he got so involved with his assignment, like fallen in love with a beautiful, sexy brunette who’s been under his protective custody until she’s due to appear on a witness stand for a brutal murder case. or perhaps he found out that he’s been working for a company who’s been leaking out top secret information to the enemies. so, when the company found out, he becomes a liability to the secret operations & so they ‘burn’ him.
i must have watched too many spy movies to come out with that!
anyway, if you want to know the real reason why he got black listed, you should check out USA Network’s Burn Notice. burn notice combines the best action/thriller elements with surprising humor & an iconic breed of spy. so, be sure to catch the premier on thursday, 28 june at 10/9C on usa network.
