The Real Master

‘do not store up for yourselves treasure on earth…but store treasure in heaven…’  from todays gospel.

some of us are fascinated with and easily entralled by money. coz we believe that money is the key to security, power and happiness in life. as christian, we are to do  only what is pleasing to God, our Master & our  Creator. but there seems to be another  master trying to dominate us in our everyday lives & that is MONEY!

we all need money in our day to day living. many feels that they dont have enough while others are overly obsessed in investing & piling even more into their bank account. but thats the evil thing about money. the more we have, the more greedy we become. so if we’ve been bz accumulating wealth on earth, so blinded with earthly things, we’ll lose focus in God & thus we might end up serving the wrong master.

Jesus already made a very clear statement, ‘no servant can serve two masters. he will love one & hate the other….you cannot serve God and mammon’, ( Lk 16:13).  the only way to prevent us from becoming slave to money, be contented with what we have. like what i’ve always been telling myself. when you start counting your blessing, you’ll stop asking for more…
