Nature versus Grace
what’s the difference between the mistaken desires of nature and the desires sent by His grace.
- nature is selfish. it wil try to enjoy everything on earth & still gain heaven. grace simply looks for His Will, turning away from sins & self deception.
- nature hates all restraints. it wants to follow it own likes & desires & its own will. grace interested in self control & obedience to authority as it seeks to please God in every way & everything.
- natures works for his own interest & to its own advantage. grace has other people in its interest.
- nature loves honor & respect. grace accept all honor & respect in His name & give glory unto Him.
- nature’s afraid of shame, contempt & insult. grace does not mind all that cos nothing compares to what the Lord has embraced for the sins of men.
seeing all the above differences , i must be reminded to do things for God and to forget this selfish nature of mine….
