Marriage

from today’s gospel, “a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two become one flesh, so they are no longer two but one flesh…..what God has joined together, no human being must separate” (Mat 19:5-6).

i wish i could tell that to my mil and constantly remind her, so as she understood that her son is now MY HUSBAND and it’s my responsibility, as a wife to love & care, whilst tending to his needs. *sigh* i guess nothing compares to a mother’s love. like they say…a mother holds her children hand for a while but their hearts forever…

anyway, i just want to praise and thank God for this marriage. He has blessed me with a wonderful, loving and responsible husband that any woman could ever asked for.  it is indeed a gift of total union of our love for each other. love that is not just a passing emotion or infatuation, but a responsible and free decision to bind ourselves completely with the vows we took. i have to say, i’ve lived up to those vows, and i meant literally i’ve been there for him in good & bad times…for better or worse, for richer or poor, in sickness and in health…every each one of them.  those who knew me well will understand where i’m coming from.

a marriage is a Holy Sacrament. we are baptised in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ & so we are married in His name too. hence, our love is a sharing in the love of God….where all goodness come…  thank you God!
