Virtue of Humility 2
many a time when we see others being honored, admired or being praised, we will yield to envious and resentment. if they deserve this admirations, why not we gave it to them. even if they dont, i’m sure its pleasing if we could adopt charitable silence. same goes if we are being blamed, criticised or despised. we should not let that disturb us. instead, reflect.
if we are really in the wrong, then we deserve it. we accept that judgement and or accusations and then try to mend our ways or ask for pardon. but if we are innocent…well that’s the harder part. i guess we’ll patienty right the wrong done to us. the last thing in our mind is to lose our self control in trying to justify ourselves. just remember that the Lord judge us according to the facts and not what others think of us. if we were honest, we will admit our many faults and few virtues. we will not be afraid to practise this self appraisal when people point out our shortcomings & limitations…
