Wedding Vows
myself and andrew have been married for over 9 years already. praise God, we sailed thru quite smoothly despite the many trials and tribulations along the way. the only regret i have is that we did not personalised our wedding vows to express our love. i really hope that God will give us another opportunity to renew our vows one day just to reaffirm our love for each other and this time, in front of our children.
i think wedding vows are keystone of a marriage ceremony. perhaps it is the most romantic moment in the entire wedding ceremony. whether its a statutory or personalised vows it is fundamental as it reflects the shared values of the couple. when so much time can be spent on planning every espects of a wedding, ie. banquet, cakes, decorations, flowers, music etc. we must never forget that much effort should also be put in when planning and personalising the wedding vows. the most meaningful part of a wedding lies in the exchange words of the bride and the groom professed to each other when committing their lifelong relationship as a husband and wife.
