Prawn Cereal

when this dish started out over some years ago. it was so popular. every chinese/seafood restaurant will have this in their menu & mostly every diners on every table will be having this. but now, with the ready made packed cereal, it has become very convenient. you can d.i.y. lol

i find that other than the messiness in the frying it is actually really fast and easy to prepare. the preparation takes maybe 5 mins and the cooking time another 5-7 min? actually you can always follow the instructions from the cereal package. ok, unlike the original recipe, my version is a little bit different. i deshelled all the prawns  lol easy to eat mah…. but if u like the heads and shells intact, hey! nobody says you cant )

ingredients :- prawns (marinated with some salt & pepper), a packet of cereal, 1tblspn butter, 3 cloves garlic, some curry leaves, and some conflour (to coat prawn b4 frying).

after frying the prawn set aside. fry the garlic in melted butter. best if you can chopped 1-2 bird’s eye chillie (chilli padi) fry together with the garlic.

when garlic browned, throw in the curry leave and stir a while. then throw in the prawns and the packet of cereal.
