Messenger
how many of us have really experienced joy. some of us may not even understand the meaning of that word. they feed on emptiness and thread the paths of despair. “they sit in darkness and in shadow of death”(Luke 1:79)
we need not look so far to find them. they may be just the regular people we meet everyday. they are all around us. in our neighbourhood, in our working place, on the road. they may even be members of our own family. these people live without true joy. they live without hope. perhaps they have never heard of the Good News. or they’ve never met anyone who touches their lives with the love of Christ and lifted them up from their misery.
that is why we must go to them as messenger of hope. we must bring them the witness of true joy. we must pledge to them our committment to make them feel respected and loved. so let us be heralds of hope. be messenger of joy. let the good news of Christ radiate from our hearts and the peace He alone gives remain forever in our souls…
