Prayer

today’s gospel tells us that Jesus prayed all night before choosing his apostles. prayer is so important that Jesus himself tells us to “pray constantly”(Lk 21:36) to His Father as He himself did. Jesus even taught us to pray the Our Father.  It is thru prayer that Jesus leads us to our Father. it is in prayer that the Holy Spirit transform our lives. it is in prayer that we came to know God; to detect His presence in our souls, to hear His voice speaking thru our consciences and to experience the full meaning of an interpersonal relationship that is based on generouse love. prayer is the 1st remedy to temptations. it is also thru prayer that we can clearly focus our attention on Jesus Christ and see the total relevance of his teaching for our lives. we begin to see things His way….
