Live life simply…so HE said
meditating on today’s gospel, our possessions can be a real obstacle to our respond to God’s works. how can we proclaim the good news when we still manifesting in worldly life. i know i cant. not unless if i want to live the life of mother theresa. i’m so blessed with what the Lord has bestow on me and my family that i dont wish to come out from my comfort zone.
but that’s exacly what the Lord wants us to do. if we truly understand His words, in life, we would know what is essential; to live simply, to live truthfully and to honor Him. Jesus pointed out that we are to go lightly with only what we have, live on kindness and generousity of others and leave without saying anything to those who reject us. now, wouldnt that be living a true disciple of Christ. preaching and living the good news to the world, healing and settling the world right. well, this is still a HUMONGOUS (yeap! as huge as the world itself!) test for me to hurdle. i dont think the day will ever come. but i know, at the very least, as much as possible, i should try and do whatever it takes in my capacity to serve Him in other ways…
er….does living without a maid counts….? i did let go something didnt i?
